Panic: Two lakh new patients in 24 hours, so many patients killed after 6 months, may take lockdown

The second wave of the corona virus that has gone berserk in the country has broken all records so far. The corona infection has worsened the situation across the country. The continuing rise in corona infection cases and death tolls is posing a scary picture. The number of infection patients received in a day has reached two lakh on Thursday. Two lakh new corona patients have been found in the country in the last 24 hours and 1037 patients have lost their lives. This information was given by the Union Health Ministry on Thursday.

According to the Health Ministry, 1,99,569 new corona cases have been received in the country in the last 24 hours, with a total number of infection cases in the country reaching 14,070,890. This is the highest number of new corona infected people in a day since the onset of the epidemic. Even in the first wave, this vicious form of corona was not seen, the highest number of 97,249 cases were reported in the first wave.

More than 1037 patients have lost their lives on Thursday, taking the death toll from Covid to 173,152.
It was the highest figure of those who lost their lives in a day in the last six months. Earlier, the highest number of deaths was 1,032 on October 17 last year. Corona mortality is 1.25 per cent. Out of the total 1026 deaths in the country during the last 24 hours, 281 have occurred from Maharashtra, 156 from Chhattisgarh, 61 from Karnataka, 85 from Uttar Pradesh and 81 in Delhi.

Looking at the figures, the total number of deaths due to the epidemic has gone up to 1,73,152.

The number of people under treatment has also increased to 1365704, which is 9.24% of the total cases of infection. So far 12426146 corona patients have recovered, corona mortality rate is 1.24%. The number of active cases in the country is 1465877. For the 36th consecutive day, corona cases are witnessing an increase in the country.

Meanwhile, governments are also imposing a variety of restrictions to control the corona, but the pace at which the corona is growing raises questions about whether lockdown is the last option left.
